About us
Nepean 4WD Club Inc. was established in 2013 by a group of 4WD enthusiasts who were keen to see a club which strongly catered for the family unit whilst enjoying responsible 4WDing and the great outdoors.
Although the club has been around for a reasonable while now the expertise and experience of our members span back even further with many of our members having been in the 4WD community for a considerable amount of time and enjoy sharing their knowledge with newer members that may have just bought their first 4WD.
Many of our members have young children so if you are looking for a family friendly group of like-minded people, we may just be the club for you!
Whilst we are located in the Nepean region, our membership base stretches across Sydney.
We enjoy participating in various events through the year, such as day trips, weekend trips, overnight camping, social days and extended trips (usually annually). We also hold various fundraising activities through the year for the benefit of our members. Our trips are generally suitable for standard 4WDs with low range, but we also run trips for the more adventurous.
We attend Driver Training days throughout the year for our members through the DTU (Driver Training Unit of NSW/ACT 4WD Association). Many of our members are accredited in basic driver training whilst a few have also completed the advanced driver training course.
We are a member of the NSW/ACT 4WD Association http://www.4wdnow.com/ and strongly support the Association’s code of ethics as well as the principles of "Leave No Trace Australia" http://lnt.org.au/
